WHAT IS TEA?

Tea is the anonymous dating community for women to safely spill dating and relationship tea. With total anonymity, blocked screenshots, and a secure gender verification process, Tea provides the most secure platform for women all over the country to access the same database of posts to empower women.

We think of ourselves as a complimentary resource to existing Facebook groups. We provide affordable access to background checks, criminal record checks, sex offender lookups, phone number lookups, and reverse image searches so women can date more safely. Tea donates 10% of its profits to the National Domestic Violence Hotline. Together, we believe we can do SO much more for women everywhere!

Veronica, an author residing in the southeast, brings a blend of creativity, social impact, and a passion for advocacy to the Tea team. A dedicated community leader, Veronica actively serves on the Patient Advisory Board at her local hospital and is a member of her local NAACP chapter, where her non-profit work and community activism were recognized with the prestigious 2023 Women in Excellence Award. Veronica further demonstrates her commitment to social good through her mutual aid non-profit, which champions equity through direct giving. FAQs

What are my options for the proceeds?
You can choose to have the proceeds sent 100% to you, 100% donated to charity, or 50% sent to you and 50% sent to charity
What charities does Tea partner with? 
We donate 10% of our profits to the National Domestic Violence Hotline and RAINN but if you would like us to donate to a different charity that supports women, we are happy to do so! You can let us know the charity you would like your program to support during the signup process.
Should I post once or on a recurring basis?
If you only want to post about the program and Tea once, that's more than fine, and if you want to regularly promote the program with your audience to generate more proceeds, that's even better!
Why $1 per signup instead of a flat rate for a sponsored post?
We're totally open to doing a flat rate for a sponsored post as well! We're recommending the $1 per signup route because we think it will generate more proceeds than a flat rate for a sponsored post and it also lets us more accurately compensate you for the performance of your program. But once again, if you'd rather try doing a fixed fee rate for a sponsored post to your group or audience, we're totally open to that as well.
How does the affiliate link work? 
We use a product called AppsFlyer to create an affiliate link for you that tracks app signups. When a user clicks the affiliate link, it brings them to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download the app depending on what mobile device they use
How do I know how many app signups my link is generating? 
We’ll send you regular screenshots of AppsFlyer showing exactly how many signups your link generated
How will I know that Tea is sending the donations? 
We’ll send the donations on your behalf through the charitable organization’s website and you’ll receive a confirmation email from the charitable organization for each donation
What are my payment options?
If you’d prefer to be sent proceeds directly, we can route payments through Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, or through an ACH transfer to your bank. You provide this information to us during the signup process
How long will you continue sending payouts?
We'll keep sending you weekly payouts until we stop getting app signups from your referral link for a few weeks. We’ll start sending payouts again if we start getting new signups from your link
Why will you request a W9 if I am sent more than $600 in proceeds?
The IRS requires businesses to report payments to other businesses/individuals when the amount exceeds $600 dollars in a calendar year. Requesting a W9 is standard practice for affiliate programs. We won’t need to request a W9 from you if your program yields under $600. If you don’t want to send us a W9, we can send your payouts via Amazon or Visa gift cards which can cash out or use to make purchases.
